Making It Happen
My Life Story will create your memoir or family history in three primary steps.
Interviews
We’ll set up interviews — your choice of in-person, online or by phone — where we’ll ask you questions about your life. Typical questions cover childhood, family, school, holidays, work, marriage, challenges, life lessons and more.
Writing and Editing
Your writer will shape your answers into an interesting, compelling story that you will review for any necessary changes. You will also be able to include photos to illustrate your book.
Book Design and Printing
The approved text and photos with captions will be professionally designed in an appealing book layout, and you will choose the cover and binding you prefer. Copies of your printed heirloom book will be delivered for you to share with family and friends.

Each project is unique, and the length of time will vary depending on when interviews can be conducted, editing review time, etc. In general, books can be create from start to finish in 3-6 months.

Creating a memoir or family history will take the writer hundreds of hours to develop questions covering a person’s life or family; conduct interviews; edit those answers into an interesting, cohesive story; conduct multiple rounds of editing and proofreading; and oversee the design and publishing process.
Based on the number of hours and the professional skill required to create these books, My Life Story’s book package costs are very reasonable.
